Former Chelsea and Liverpool forward Fernando Torres could make a shock free transfer switch to Barcelona, according to Spanish newspaper AS.
The 31-year old is now back at boyhood club Atletico Madrid after frustrating spells with the Blues and AC Milan.
However, he was widely considered to be one of the best strikers in the world during his early days in Madrid and large parts of his time as a Liverpool player.
His loan deal in the Spanish capital is due to expire in the summer and he will once again be available for transfer.
Though the Catalan giants boast perhaps the greatest attacking trident in world football, manager Luis Enrique has previously stated the need to draft in reinforcements.
Though large parts of his time at Stamford Bridge were frustrating, he infamously scored against Barcelona at the Camp Nou in order to send the Blues through to the Champions League final.
