Nathan Ake has impressed on-loan with Bournemouth this season, with his stand-out moment coming as he scored the winning goal against Liverpool, but it's the youngsters defensive displays which have made him a vital asset to the Cherries.

Spending the year as one of many young talents away from Chelsea, Ake's ambition will surely be to push his way into the Blues first-team in the coming years but that's a huge ask, as the last youth graduate to enjoy regular first-team football is a certain John Terry.

Being honest with his assessments on his future, the 21-year-old told Sky Sports that it's too early to discuss his future but admitted he wasn't certain if he'll be a success at Stamford Bridge.

“I am happy here. The loan deal is until the end of the season. I don’t look too far ahead. At the end of the season, we will see."

“It is too early to say [if he can make it at Chelsea]. There are still things to improve. Hopefully at the end of the season we will know more.”

Making just two appearances in Bournemouth's first 11 games of the season, Ake has been an ever-present figure since and will look to continue that form in the months ahead.
