Tiemoue Bakayoko says it is his "dream" to remain at AC Milan on a permanent basis following his loan from Chelsea, per Calciomercato.

The midfielder moved to the Italian club in the summer and has found his feet in Serie A after a terrible spell with the Blues.

What's the word?

Bakayoko cost Chelsea £40million in the summer of 2017, per BBC.

However, the Frenchman struggled immensely in his maiden season at Stamford Bridge under Antonio Conte, and was repeatedly dropped to the bench, making a total of 24 starts in the Premier League, per Transfermarkt.

Former Wigan & Fulham man, Jimmy Bullard recently showed that he's still got it! Check out the video below...

A loan move to Milan followed at the end of the season, and he has now confirmed that he wants to stay at the club on a permanent basis after emerging as one of the club's most important players.

He told the Italian outlet: "Staying at Milan is my dream and it is the thought fixed in my mind but I have a contract with Chelsea.

"What would I be willing to do for Milan to keep me? I don't know. I want to finish the season in fourth place, then we will think about it."

Wash their hands

Chelsea have the perfect opportunity to wash their hands of a player who clearly does not fit into the way they wish to play.

The likes of N'Golo Kante and Jorginho will always be ahead of Bakayoko in the pecking order and he is unlikely to be given the required time to break into the first-team under Maurizio Sarri.

Instead, they have been given the chance to confirm Bakayoko's exit, and allow him to continue to thrive in Italy.

It makes too much sense not to happen, and Chelsea can merely write off their signing of the midfielder as a failed experiment, while Bakayoko continues to thrive in Serie A.
