Gary Cahill has divided opinion among Chelsea fans this season, and this was evident on Twitter when the defender was struck down with an injury during this afternoon's Premier League clash against Leicester City.

The centre-back was forced off the pitch at Stamford Bridge shortly after the half-hour mark with a suspected hamstring injury.

The England international started the match in the centre of a back three, alongside Antonio Rudiger and Cesar Azpilicueta.

Andreas Christensen, who recently signed a new long-term deal with the Blues, came on to replace the injured star.

Chelsea's defence had plenty of work to do against Leicester, who surged forward numerous times trying to cause an upset.

Jamie Vardy, in particular, caused problems for Antonio Conte's side, but some fans were happy to see Cahill removed from the back three.

Others, though, criticised their fellow supporters for being pleased that the club's captain had gone down with an injury.
