Champions League heavyweights want key Chelsea man… agent pushing deal

Paris Saint-Germain are keen on a summer move for Chelsea’s Diego Costa, with the player’s agent, Jorge Mendes, pushing for a deal, according to reports from France Football.

The Spain international only joined the Blues in 2014, but after firing the London club to the title in his debut season his future at Stamford Bridge has been plunged into doubt in recent times.

Costa himself has appeared a frustrated figure in a poor Chelsea campaign, and reports claim that PSG have been alerted.

It’s understood that his agent, Mendes, has sounded out the Ligue 1 club amid suggestions that Antonio Conte, who is expected to replace Guus Hiddink as the Premier League champions’ boss ahead of 2016/17, is willing to let the 27-year-old move on.

PSG are thought to be on the lookout for a new striker, with iconic Sweden international, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, set to leave on a free transfer in a few months’ time.
