Chelsea striker Patrick Bamford is set to end his nightmare loan spell at Crystal Palace in January by securing a move back to the Championship, as reported by London24.
The England U21 striker scored 19 goals while on loan at Middlesbrough last season, which led to Chelsea deciding he would be better off on loan at a Premier League club this season.
But Palace boss Alan Pardew has consistently opted to use other players ahead of the 22-year-old this term, which has prompted Chelsea to rethink his loan agreement once the transfer window opens in January.
Boro boss Aitor Koranka is keen on bringing the striker back to the Riverside Stadium and will reportedly explore that possibility as soon as he becomes available.
London24 claim Pardew will not stop Bamford returning to Stamford Bridge but wants to wait until he can bring in adequate cover in January.
Crystal Palace face Sunderland on Monday night, with Connor Wickham expected to return to the side ahead of Bamford.
