Chelsea may have a two-window transfer ban to contend with, but that reportedly hasn’t stopped them pursuing a new signing. According to Sky Sports, Chelsea have reached an agreement with Real over the signing of Croatian midfielder Mateo Kovacic. The former Inter Milan man spent last season on loan at the Blues and can play for the London club despite their transfer ban as he was registered for last season. However, a deal would need to be confirmed before July 30th for it to be able to go through.
Thursday’s edition of Spanish outlet AS (via Sports Witness) is reporting that Chelsea may exercise their recall option on Alvaro Morata due to their transfer ban. However, Morata wants to stay at the Wanda Metropolitano, and Diego Simeone will now look to reach a pact with the Blues so that they can keep him on loan until the end of the next season. Atletico have the option to sign the Spanish international permanently.
It was confirmed on Wednesday that left-back Jay Dasilva had completed a permanent move to Bristol City. The 21-year-old spent last season on loan at Ashton Gate, and Bristol City have now exercised an option to sign Dasilva on a full-time basis.
