Chelsea an option for two-time Serie A champion this summer

Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri could succeed Guus Hiddink as Chelsea manager this summer, according to reports from CalcioMercatoWeb.

The Blues are currently in the midst of a period of managerial uncertainty following the shock sacking of Jose Mourinho last month.

Hiddink has since been lured back to the club on an interim basis – the second time this has happened – by Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich, but the veteran Dutchman is set to leave again when the campaign finishes, meaning that the Stamford Bridge side will once again be looking for a head coach.

A number of big names have been linked with the job, but reports claim that Allegri sees the position as an option should he leave Juve at the end of the campaign.

The two-time Serie A-winning tactician only succeeded Antonio Conte in 2014, but despite claiming the title and the Coppa Italia while reaching the Champions League Final in his debut season, his 2015/16 has been tricky with the Old Lady in danger of missing out on Italy’s big prize after a slow start to the campaign.
