The 22-year-old is yet to make a competitive appearance for his parent club but boasts a prolific record in the Football League, bagging 43 goals in 96 appearances throughout spells with MK Dons, Derby County and Middlesbrough.
That includes a 17-goal haul for the latter club during the 2014/15 campaign, which saw the 6 foot 1 forward claim the Championship’s Player of the Year award.
Bamford didn’t enjoy such luck in the Premier League last term, failing to find the net during spells with Crystal Palace and Norwich City, and seems unlikely to be offered a chance at Stamford Bridge next season following the £33million arrival of Michy Batshuayi.
