Chelsea could receive a big boost for their Champions League last 16 second leg against Barcelona as their opponents are in danger of missing one of their key players.
Andres Iniesta suffered a hamstring injury during Sunday’s La Liga game against Atletico Madrid, which ended in a 1-0 victory for the Catalan giants.
The midfielder managed just 36 minutes of the encounter after initially trying to play on following the early blow.
Barcelona have not given a timeline of recovery for Iniesta, but depending on the severity of the problem, hamstring injuries can force players to be on the sidelines for up to two weeks or a month.
Chelsea will take on the Spanish outfit at the Camp Nou on March 14 in a clash that will decide which team progresses into the quarter-finals of the elite European competition.
