Reports in recent days have claimed that the Blues are closing in on a deal for the 29-year-old, which has come as a bit of a shock following his struggles at Od Trafford.
Falcao spent the season just gone playing under Louis van Gaal at United and notched only four goals in all competitions.
The Monaco man was once one of the most feared forwards in European football, but prolific spells with Porto and Atletico Madrid were halted at the Stade Louis II by a serious knee injury.
Yet Vialli believes that Falcao’s career can be revived by the boss of his old club:
“Knowing how good Mourinho is at getting the best out of his players, and Falcao is an extraordinary striker, they will be even stronger.” He told talkSPORT.
Vialli also talked up Chelsea’s chances of building on an impressive campaign with the addition of Falcao:
“Can he play with or instead of Diego Costa? I don’t know. But definitely the more great players you have in your side, the better.”
