Chelsea boss eyeing third Lazio ace after Candreva and Parolo interest

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is now keen on Lazio goalkeeper Federico Marchetti as the club prepare for the potential exit of Asmir Begovic, according to reports from La Lazio Siamo Noi.

The Blues have already snapped up Michy Batshuayi and N’Golo Kante under the stewardship of their new Italian manager, but with 2015/16 having bee so underwhelming at Stamford Bridge it’s likely further additions will be made.

Naturally, links between Conte and talent from his native Serie A have been plentiful, and following speculation that he wants Lazio pair Antonio Candreva and Marco Parolo, reports now claim that he’s keen on their Rome team-mate, Marchetti.

The goalie is believed to be a target amid claims Begovic is closing in on a move away from west London, with the 33-year-old an experienced campaigner who could support Thibaut Courtois.

Marchetti has made over 150 appearances for Lazio since joining the club from Cagliari in 2011 and is thought to be available for around £6m.
