Chelsea may have had a brief blip in recent weeks, but overall their season hasn’t been a complete write-off and, compared to last term, it’s looking pretty positive!
Yes, they were convincingly beaten by Liverpool and Arsenal but aside from those results they’ve done pretty much what you’d expect them to do so far.
Antonio Conte looks assured in the dug-out and most of his players are performing decently enough, they just need to find that extra gear again to really challenge at the top of the league.
Of course, it’s going to come down to how well the players grasp Conte’s instructions over the coming months but there are some signs that they are doing so already.
Diego Costa is one of the Premier League’s top scorers whilst Eden Hazard is topping another chart, as per Squawka’s stats…

The Belgian has completed more take-ons than anyone else in Europe’s top five leagues, suggesting he is getting back to his best, and Conte has to be given some credit for this transformation.
If the Belgian continues in this manner, the Blues could well be near the top of the table come May after all.
