Chelsea manager Roberto Di Matteo has eased the pressure on Fernando Torres to score the majority of Chelsea’s goals as the goals can be shared around the entire team as reported by talkSPORT.
Chelsea sneaked a 1-0 victory on Saturday over Stoke City thanks to a late Ashley Cole winner and the crowd seemed baffled by Torres’ involvement in the game as the lone striker.
After selling Didier Drogba and Nicolas Anelka, Chelsea see Torres as their sole striker this season but Di Matteo has stated that it is not all about Torres and his goals as the striker ended another game without netting.
“We’ve got goals all over the team,” the Chelsea boss said.
“We have a few players who can score, and defenders scoring so if the striker doesn’t score then somebody else scores. It’s not a problem.”
