Chelsea boss keen to raid Serie A heavyweights for two of their key stars

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is keen to snap up Lazio’s Marco Parolo and Antonio Candreva as he plans to further his Blues rebuilding plans, according to reports from Alfredo Pedulla.

The Italian chief is now firmly in the hot-seat at Stamford Bridge and has already seen in excess of £60m of new talent added to his ranks in the shape of Michy Batshuayi and N’Golo Kante.

However, Conte is not done yet, with reports claiming that he wants both Candreva and Parolo to bolster his squad ahead of the new season.

Links between the Londoners and Candreva are not new – he’s been mooted as a replacement for Juan Cuadrado in recent weeks – with the 29-year-old a versatile wide player that can fit into a 3-5-2 formation or a standard 4-4-2.

Parolo, a central midfielder, is now 31, but has been a big hit since joining Lazio in 2014, where he has emerged as one of the top box-to-box options in Serie A.

Both players have been a part of Conte’s Italy squad in recent times, with the duo having featured at EURO 2016.
