Chelsea boss rules out mega money swoops for strike duo

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has ruled out summer moves for Edinson Cavani and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, according to the Daily Mirror.

Fernando Torres, Samuel Eto’o and Demba Ba have struggled for goals this season, leading to speculation Mourinho is set to add more firepower in the summer.

The Chelsea boss has been linked with a move for PSG forward Cavani and Ibrahimovic, but has ruled out making a move for either player.

“Ibrahimovic? It’s impossible,” Mourinho said.

“He’s happy in Paris. I know because we are friends.”

Mourinho believes super-rich PSG would never ‘open the door’ for the possibility of an Ibrahimovic transfer, and claimed Cavani had ‘an amazing contract’ with the Ligue 1 club.

He also quashed rumours that Eden Hazard would be allowed to leave Stamford Bridge, saying he was looking to build a team around the Belgian midfielder.

PSG had previously been linked with a move for Hazard, and some reports suggested Chelsea would be open to a possible swap deal involving either Cavani or Ibrahimovic.

“Eden is something else. This is the guy we want to have for 10 years, by his style of play and personality,” Mourinho added.

“We want to build the team around him.”
