Chelsea boss wants January moves for Juventus and Porto pair

Juventus' Paul PogbaChelsea manager Jose Mourinho is keen for the club to pursue January deals for Juventus and Porto pair Paul Pogba and Jackson Martinez, according to reports from the Sunday People.

‘The Special One’ has enjoyed a smooth return to English football, but is still thought to be keen to bolster his options despite spending heavily over the summer.

The likes of Willian, Andre Schurrle and Samuel Eto’o all made the move to Stamford Bridge, but Mourinho is still thought to be hopeful of clinching more top players.

Pogba and Martinez have emerged as his top targets, and he is hopeful of convincing Roman Abramovich to fun moves.

Pogba only left Manchester United to join Juve last year, but has enjoyed a meteoric rise to prominence in Italy.

His combative nature and general ability appeal to Mourinho, who is yet to be convinced by his current midfield options.

Martinez is also on his radar as he continues his search for a guaranteed source of goals.

The Colombian hit-man has one of the best goalscoring records in European football, having netted a staggering 33 times in just 37 outings for Porto since his move to the club last year.

Mourinho sees him as the ideal replacement for £50m flop Fernando Torres.

Could Paul Pogba and Jackson Martinez make Chelsea England’s dominant force once again?
