Chelsea chasing European wonderkid pair

Chelsea are closely monitoring Anderlecht duo Youri Tielemans and Leander Dendoncker, according to reports from the Daily Mail.

The Belgian duo are two of European football’s most highly-rated youngsters and have both represented their club side on numerous occasions despite being 17 and 19 respectively.

Their performances have also attracted massive clubs such as Manchester United and Arsenal, and Chelsea are believed to be firmly in the running alongside them.

Tielemans is a promising central midfielder and rose to prominence when he made his Champions League debut at the age of 16 in 2013.

Dendoncker, two years his senior, is more defensively minded, typically operating as a midfield anchor or a centre-back.

Reports suggest that Chelsea scouts were at last weekend’s game – in which Anderlecht beat Kortrijk 2-0 – in which Dendoncker scored.

The Londoners have a recent history of signing promising Belgian players, with Thibaut Courtois, Kevin De Bruyne and Romelu Lukaku all having spent time at Stamford Bridge.
