The 21 year old has already featured 16 times for Ghana and played 17 times for Porto last season, impressing the Blues boss Jose Mourinho who was then at Real Madrid.
The £3.5million deal has been agreed between the clubs and Mourinho’s relationship with former club Porto seems to have reaped its rewards once again.
The pacey winger is set to immediately join Chelsea’s Dutch feeder club Vitesse Arnhem on a season long loan in order to experience a different style of football before being given a first team opportunity in West London.
The Blues squad is full of exciting, attacking players and so first team opportunities for the likes of Victor Moses and Demba Ba are also seemingly non-existent and so they could also see themselves farmed out on loan before Monday’s transfer deadline.
