Chelsea are considering a loan move for Paris Saint-Germain star Thiago Silva, according to reports from the Daily Star.
The Blues have been chasing a centre-back since last summer, having several attempts to sign Everton defender John Stones rejected by the Toffees.
The Brazil international has been a stand-out performer for the Ligue 1 champions the past few seasons, helping the Parisians to three successive French titles since his arrival from AC Milan in 2012.
And Chelsea see the 31-year-old as the perfect player to help shore up their under-performing defence, which has shipped in an incredible 34 goals in their 22 league games so far this term.
Although PSG will be reluctant to lose their captain, Silva could leave in search of a new challenge and Chelsea’s Brazilian contingent of Willian, Oscar, and Ramires may help tempt the former Fluminense ace to Stamford Bridge.
