Chelsea deal to offload flop signing ‘almost done’

Chelsea and Atletico Madrid are close to agreeing a deal which will see Filipe Luis return to the Vicente Calderon on a two-year loan after just one season in England, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

The Brazilian left-back joined the Blues last summer after helping the Rojiblancos to La Liga glory, and was widely tipped to be the man to fill the void left by the released Ashley Cole.

However, Luis has failed to settle in West London, and made only 15 appearances in the Premier League.
