Chelsea draw Barcelona in UCL last 16, fans give mixed reactions

With all five English teams progressing into the knockout rounds of the Champions League, a couple were bound to be handed difficult ties.

Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur were dealt the toughest draws, with the Blues taking on Barcelona and Mauricio Pochettino’s men going head to head with Juventus in the last-16 stage.

After Antonio Conte’s men were stunned in a 1-0 defeat to West Ham United at the London Stadium on Saturday, the team would have been hoping for better news today.

It was not to be, though, as Chelsea learned that they will have to get through th five-time European champions in order to reach the quarter-finals of the competition.

It is not all doom and gloom, though, as the West London outfit can draw on their semi-final win over Barcelona in the 2011-12 season.

Chelsea went on to lift the crown that season under manager Roberto Di Matteo.

After the draw was announced, fans took to Twitter with their reactions, which were a mix of confidence and dread.
