Chelsea eye Eredivisie goal machine

Graziano Pellè (Feyenoord)Chelsea are plotting a January swoop for Feyenoord’s in-form striker Graziano Pelle, according to reports from The Metro.

The Blues are believed to have made a top class centre-forward their major target for the winter window, with Jose Mourinho desperate to add a guaranteed source of goals to his side in a bid to stay in the battle for the Premier League title.

Pelle’s fine performances have alerted ‘The Special One’, who is thought to be ready to launch a move for the powerful hit-man.

The Italian netted a staggering 27 goals in just 29 games last term, and has continued his razor-sharp performances this season with a further 10 in 10.

Naturally, interest in his signature has spiked, with Barcelona just one of a number of big sides said to be monitoring the 28-year-old.

But, Chelsea are ready to take on their Spanish rivals in the race for Pelle with a January offer.

The burly forward is thought to be keen to work under Mourinho, and is aware that his chances of regular action are significantly higher with the Blues.

At 6ft 4”, Pelle has the physical attributes that the Portuguese coach likes in the focal point of his attack, and mixes these with sound technical skills.
