Chelsea are preparing a surprise £5million bid for Manchester City’s Joe Hart according to The Sun.
The 31-year-old has had a torrid few years after being heavily criticised for England’s performances in Euro 2016, then subsequently spending time on loan at Torino and West Ham where he struggled to rediscover his form.
The former England no.1 wasn’t even included in Gareth Southgate’s squad for the World Cup as things went from bad to worse for the two time title winning goalkeeper.
But with Thibaut Courtois set to join Real Madrid this summer, Chelsea are desperately looking for a replacement for their star shot stopper who was awarded Fifa’s Golden Glove at this summer’s World Cup.
According to the latest report, Joe Hart is their surprising target and he could be available for as little as £5million.
Chelsea fans have been reacting to the news on social media and here’s a snapshot of what they’ve had to say.

If Man City got rid of him because he doesn’t suit peps style of play why are we trying to buy him when our play will be similar to peps
