Chelsea take on Crystal Palace on Saturday, hoping to show considerable improvement on Sunday’s display at the Etihad Stadium against Manchester City.
That insipid performance from the Blues has attracted widespread criticism and Antonio Conte’s men find themselves five points off the top four.
That means they have left themselves no margin for error as they seek to qualify for next season’s Champions League and with the pressure mounting on Conte all the time, they need a win against Roy Hodgson’s strugglers.
With that in mind, Chelsea’s official Twitter account uploaded a classic goal from a meeting between the Blues and the Eagles from 2005, which saw Joe Cole finish after a piece of sublime skill from Eidur Gudjohnsen.

That got Chelsea fans reminiscing about a season when they swept aside all before them. While you might expect that their affection would be reserved for the man who finished the move, it was actually Gudjohnsen’s play in the build-up that got most of the plaudits.
We’ve taken a closer look at the best of the reaction…
