Chelsea fans are split on the future of Ruben Loftus-Cheek at Stamford Bridge after watching him in action for England on Sunday.

The 22-year-old had made just a handful of international appearances prior to his start against Panama in the World Cup, but was trusted by Gareth Southgate to add life to their midfield in support of more attacking talents.

While the standard of opposition has to be taken into account, the Chelsea man produced a fine performance and did not look out of place alongside the other, more established England stars.

He even registered an assist after his shot deflect off Harry Kane to land in the back of the net.

Chelsea supporters though are not wholly convinced he is ready for more appearances for the Blues.

While he definitely has his cheerleaders, there are debates on social media about his future at the club.

Some believe yesterday's display proved he isn't ready for first team action at Stamford Bridge...

Others though are definitely excited by his future and want to see him get more opportunities next season...
