Chelsea will look to bounce back from their 2-1 defeat against Manchester United at Old Trafford last weekend when they face the Red Devils' arch-rivals and runaway Premier League leaders Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday, and Blues fans have begged manager Antonio Conte to drop Danny Drinkwater.

The £35m summer signing from Leicester City has found first-team minutes hard to come by this season since returning from injury in October, and he didn't play a single minute of the west London outfit's five top flight matches prior to their clash against Jose Mourinho's men.

However, Conte decided to start the 27-year-old in the middle of the park alongside N'Golo Kante, but he struggled to make an impression and was replaced by Cesc Fabregas in the 81st minute.

Chelsea supporters have been quick to have their say on the England international via social media, and while one said "would replace Drinkwater with Fabregas for more creativity and chances", another said "Cesc should play ahead of Drinkwater".

Here is just a selection of the Twitter reaction…
