Chelsea fans believe Alvaro Morata would improve under Maurizio Sarri

Chelsea have reportedly been linked with a move for Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri if they choose to sack Antonio Conte this summer, and Blues fans think that Alvaro Morata, rated at £59.5m by Transfermarkt, would improve and finally reach his potential under the 59-year-old after a difficult debut campaign with the west London outfit.

The 24-year-old arrived at Stamford Bridge last summer as Diego Costa’s replacement, but while he did score 15 goals in 47 appearances in all competitions, he often struggled to make an impact in games and was heavily criticised by his own fans on Twitter for some of his displays.

Meanwhile, Sarri is known for his attacking style of play and trusting in his forwards, and the Italian would perhaps feel that he could finally get the best out of the Spaniard.

Chelsea supporters were quick to discuss the potential link-up between the two via social media, and while one said “he will do bits under Sarri”, another said “Morata will be a beast under him”.
