Chelsea fans blast former player Gallas

Well, that went well.

On Monday, Chelsea’s official Twitter account posted a message that confirmed William Gallas’ spot in the club’s legends team to face Inter Forever at Stamford Bridge at the end of this week.

The Chelsea fans are pretty touchy at the moment when considering that their club missed out on a top-four spot in the Premier League on the final weekend of the campaign.

And the last thing that they wanted to hear about was a legends match that will take place one day before the FA Cup final against Manchester United.

Gallas reportedly threatened to score an own goal or get himself sent off if he was selected for Chelsea during a period what he was attempting to force a move away from the club.

The former defender made over 150 Premier League appearances for Chelsea between 2001 and 2006, but he is not seen as a legend in the eyes of the club’s supporters following his conduct ahead of a move to Arsenal.
