According to reports in The Telegraph, Chelsea have opened talks with AS Roma about signing striker Edin Dzeko before the January transfer window shuts, and Blues fans are confident that he is set to move to Stamford Bridge.

The Serie A outfit's boss Eusebio Di Francesco said on Saturday that the Bosnia and Herzegovina international will start against Inter Milan at the San Siro on Sunday, but it seems as though the Premier League holders could step up their bid to bring the 31-year-old to the capital after the clash and before the end of the month, according to The Telegraph.

Dzeko has scored 12 goals in 26 matches in all competitions for Roma this season, and he has 61 in 116 appearances in total for the Italian club since joining them from Manchester City in 2015.

Chelsea supporters were quick to have their say on the centre-forward via social media, and while one said "welcome to Chelsea", another believes the potential transfer is a "done deal".
