So much promise surrounded Tiemoue Bakayoko when he joined Chelsea from Monaco last year.

However, the midfielder eventually slipped down the pecking order and it became swiftly clear that he would not be a key member of the Maurizio Sarri era this season.

The 24-year-old joined AC Milan on a year-long loan deal in the summer but he has struggled for regular minutes.

In total, Bakayoko has made five Serie A appearances and is yet to be named in the starting XI.

In fact, the midfielder has only played 88 minutes of league action since moving to the San Siro.

According to Milanista NonEvoluto, Bakayoko could end up joining French outfit Marseille when the January transfer window opens.

It is unclear if it would be a permanent deal or another loan arrangement, but it seems that plenty of Chelsea fans would be content to see him finalise a move away from Stamford Bridge.
