According to The Sun, both Bournemouth and West Ham United are plotting January swoops for Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek on a loan deal with an option to make it a permanent switch in the summer.
The 22-year-old has been in fine form for the Blues so far this season – when he has played. However, he has not played nearly frequently enough. Maurizio Sarri’s preference for a midfield three featuring Jorginho, N’Golo Kante and Mateo Kovacic has seen Loftus-Cheek start only one Premier League game this season.
Check out the video below for Emma Conybeare’s rundown of which clubs need what in the January transfer window…
Despite having racked up six goals in twelve appearances in all competitions, Loftus-Cheek is still not a starter at Stamford Bridge. If he wants to add to his 10 caps, then the England international must be playing week in, week out. If he cannot get that game time under Sarri then he must consider seeking pastures new.
After the aforementioned transfer story broke, plenty of Chelsea fans took to Twitter to discuss Loftus-Cheek’s future at the club…
