Chelsea fans discuss what the 2018/19 campaign holds for Mason Mount

According to reports in The Sun, Chelsea attacker Mason Mount looks set to return to Stamford Bridge this summer following a successful loan spell with Eredivisie outfit Vitesse Arnhem, and Blues fans believe the 2018/19 campaign could be a big one for the teenager.

The 19-year-old attacking midfielder, who has played on both wings for Vitesse this term, has scored eight goals and provided a further nine assists in 29 Dutch top flight outings, while he netted hat-trick and picked up an assist in his side’s 5-2 win against Ado Den Haag earlier the week in a Europa League play-off tie.

Mount is yet to make a first-team appearance for his parent club but his displays in the Netherlands and the big changes that are expected with the west London outfit this summer – especially if they do miss out on Champions League football – could mean the youngster gets an opportunity to impress next term.

Chelsea supporters, who also want Reece James in the first-team next season, have been quick to have their say on the forward via social media, and while one said he is “1000% better than Barkley”, another said “Mason Mount is better than Callum Hudson-Odoi”.
