Chelsea fans divided after announcement that five players have left the club

Chelsea fans have given a mixed reaction to the announcement that five players have left the club.

Gary Cahill, Gonzalo Higuain, Rob Green, Eduardo and Kyle Scott will all not be playing at Stamford Bridge this season.

Cahill had a stellar career having moved to Chelsea back in January 2012 from Bolton, and immediately contributed to the Blues’ Champions League winning campaign as the England defender battled injury in the final to help the team defeat Bayern Munich on penalties.

Green retired having not started a single game throughout the 2018/19 season – with his last act as a squad member lifting the Europa League trophy in Baku.

Higuain’s loan spell came to an end after six months in which time he scored seven goals in 23 games, while Eduardo has left to join Braga.

And finally 21-year-old Kyle Scott has been released without a club after receiving very little first team action.
