Loads of Chelsea fans have been weighing in after reports claimed the Blues have submitted an offer for Goncalo Guedes.

According to Plaza Deportiva, translated by Sport Witness, Chelsea have made an offer to Valencia for Guedes through his agent, Jorge Mendes.

The Stamford Bridge outfit are of course subject to a transfer ban for the next two windows. However, they are appealing against the ban so it’s no surprise they are preparing for the possibility of a normal transfer period this summer.

The report claims the opening bid was €70m (£62.40m), which falls well short of the player’s frankly ridiculous €300m (£267.42m) release clause.

Guedes, a versatile winger who bagged five La Liga goals in 18 starts this season, is seen as a possible long-term heir to Eden Hazard.

The Belgian’s departure has left a massive hole on the left flank, with Christian Pulisic more accustomed to playing on the right side, so perhaps Guedes could be the man to fill it.

Fans are completely split on the idea though, as you can see from the Twitter reactions down below…
