According to The Mirror, Chelsea and Manchester United have expressed interest in Crystal Palace's Aaron Wan-Bissaka as the race for the defender's signature hots up.

Cesar Azpilicueta remains the Blues' first-choice right-back but they are reportedly on the hunt for second option with Davide Zappacosta deemed surplus to requirements and free to leave - with the former almost thirty, Wan-Bissaka may be seen as a long-term replacement.

Coming through the ranks as a winger, Wan-Bissaka was slowly moulded into a defender and was drafted into the Eagles first team after Joel Ward suffered an injury. Since, the 20-year-old has ousted Ward from the starting XI and has been the standout performer for the Croydon outfit.

The England U-21 international has impressed with his tenacity and timing of his tackling this season in particular and surely has garnered interest from a number of top clubs for his exploits.

However, with the likes of Reece James and Ola Aina on the books at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea fans seem to think that splashing out on the starlet would be a waste of money.
