Chelsea fans fear Pulisic transfer could hamper Hudson-Odoi’s development

Chelsea fans have been reacting to the news that Christian Pulisic is a Blues player.

The United States international will join Maurizio Sarri’s squad in the summer, but the Stamford Bridge outfit have agreed a £58million fee with Borussia Dortmund for the 20-year-old’s signature.

Pulisic will remain at Westfalenstadion for the rest of the current campaign on loan, as BVB look to clinch their first Bundesliga crown since 2016.

The natural right-winger will rival the likes of Pedro and Willian upon his arrival in England, but offer cover for Eden Hazard thanks to his ability to play on either flank.

Despite his young age, the wonderkid has 23 senior international appearances, in which he has scored nine goals.

As for domestic form, Pulisic has registered 29 goals and 37 assists in 140 appearances in all competitions – his best league season in front of goal came during the 2015/16 campaign, when he netted a goal every 386 minutes.

Not every Chelsea fan is happy to see the one-time USA captain join the Premier League, however, with a lot noting the implications it will have on Callum Hudson-Odoi’s chances of playing.
