Chelsea fans have just about had enough of Alvaro Morata after another disappointing performance for the Blues. Morata had seven shots at goal in their Europa League match at PAOK on Thursday, failing to hit the target once.
The 25-year-old has been struggling to properly find his feet since joining Chelsea last year. Morata only has one goal to his name this season, scoring in Chelsea’s 3-2 win over Arsenal in the second round of the Premier League.
Despite the Blues having gone the season without defeat so far, Morata has been seen as the misfiring link in the team that could cost them at some stage of the season. Former Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud got the nod ahead of Morata in this past Saturday’s win over Cardiff City at Stamford Bridge, and may well again for the trip to West Ham United on Sunday.
Chelsea fans took to Twitter after Thursday’s match to express their unhappiness with the Spaniard.
Here are some of the reactions:
And we still have Morata. Said to sell him as there was a big chance he was going to continue same as last season and it’s turned out to be true.just isn’t going to happen for him @Chelsea so should have cut our losses b4 season started.Giroud to start over Morata any day of week

Michy’s loan must be terminated. Send Morata to Milan on loan.

Morata should be sold off and bring in Metrovic from Fulham. He is young and has a goal scoring mentality

I’d like to apologise for having the cheek to justify Alvaro Morata’s transfer to Chelsea. I’ve got blood on my hands.
The bloke’s a basket case. He doesn’t have the stomach, get rid of him.

Problem with Morata is that his mind is into scoring goals and proving a point, Giroud on the other hand is just enjoying the sarriball.
