Chelsea travelled to St Mary’s to face struggling Southampton in a dress rehearsal for next Sunday’s FA Cup semi-final at Wembley looking to keep their noses ahead of Arsenal in the race for fifth place
The Gunners are just three points behind their London rivals as the Blues have endured a torrid time since the turn of the year and it is certainly Arsene Wenger’s men with all the momentum heading into the closing stages of the season.
That match at Wembley is now Chelsea’s biggest game of the season, but Antonio Conte still fielded a strong side in pursuit of some form and confidence ahead of a busy week which sees them travel to Turfmoor before their Wembley date with the Saints.
It looked set to be another bad result for the Blues in the day’s early kick off as Dusan Tadic’s first-half goal and a second half strike from Jan Bednarek put the Saints 2-0 up but three goals in eight minutes snatched all three points.
We’ve taken a closer look at the best of the reaction to the result…

Fantastic Fighting Spirit! 👍💪👊 This is what champion are made of and this is what make us die hard Blues fan! Though, there is still many improvement needed, ranging from our defence to a dominant figure that will give us leadership on the pitch!Again, a win never the least!

I guess Conte knew what Hughes' team did not.

The moment we switched to four at the back the flow of the game changed as we were able to fully promote attacking football. This is what we all want, three at the back needs to be buried forever.

Conte tho, do we love him? Do we hate him? So many feelings 🤷♀️ #cfc

I'm not supporting him(conte), because he has his flaws too, but you must agree with me that Chelsea's problem is not conte, take a look at this team, there's something called quality, that's exactly what's lacking.

@ChelseaFC allow Conte to buy his own players. The board is not helping him. Great win today
