Chelsea are facing the very real prospect of missing out on next season’s Champions League but one man who looks set to be involved next time around and is making a huge impact on this year’s tournament is former Blues man Mo Salah.
The 57-cap Egypt international scored two and set up two more as Liverpool destroyed another of his former clubs – Roma – 5-2 in the first leg of their semi-final clash to go within four of Ian Rush’s Reds record of 47 strikes in a season.
That led Blues fans, not for the first time this season, to imagine what might have been if Jose Mourinho – the man they will face off against in the final of the FA Cup next month – hadn’t sold the wideman during his second Stamford Bridge tenure.
They still haven’t forgiven the current Manchester United boss for letting Salah leave and we’ve taken a closer look at the best of the reaction…
It's crazy what a bit of playing time can do for you isn't it

Supported the blues since 1967 and what a rollercoaster ride. Very few regrets however not realising both Salah and De Bruyne's potential and basically giving them away has me stunned. How could that have happened?

Remember the year before that though – how good he was as a raw winger in inspiring Basel to beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge..he’s only been under par at one club.

In a jose set up. Doesn't suit his style. He was class against us when he was at Basel

And you haven’t learned a thing since. You continue to post embarrassing tweets about Morata, joining the band of people who only have a knee jerk response to everything.
How times haven’t changed.

I can guarantee you if salah was playing for mourinho he wouldn’t have scored 40 goals this season. That man is cancer

Jose doesn't recognise raw talent —- De Brunye, Lukaku and Salah. How many others slipped through whilst managing in Europe? #Blinkered
