Never one to shy away from making controversial comments in the media, it seems that Thibaut Courtois cannot hide his true feelings.

However this time, the Belgian ‘keeper, who is valued at £45 million by Transfermarkt, may have taken his comments a little too far, saving his most recent attack for his manager Antonio Conte.

Following Chelsea’s 2-1 defeat to Manchester Unite last weekend, Courtois was asked about Conte’s decision to substitute Eden Hazard, with over 15 minutes of the game to play. The 25-year-old responded;

“I have no explanation for the substitution. I did not expect it, but it’s the manager’s choice. He’ll explain it. I can’t look into his head. Of course you want players like Eden to have 90 minutes on the pitch. He can always bring something extra offensively.”
