On numerous occasions, Chelsea fans have taken aim at Gary Cahill, with many calling for the club to strip him of the captaincy.
The 58-capped England international, who will be part of Gareth Southgate’s squad for the World Cup in Russia this summer, has been a regular feature in the Blues’ back line.
Gary Cahill was excellent today! #FACupFinal #CFC

This season, Cahill has played in 41 matches in all competitions, and his final one of the campaign was a special outing.
The 32-year-old helped Chelsea win the FA Cup final by keeping Manchester United at bay.
Eden Hazard’s first-half penalty was the only thing that separated the two clubs at Wembley.
Antonio Rudiger put in a man-of-the-match display for the West London outfit, while Cahill looked solid alongside him in the defensive line.
After the match, plenty of fans took to Twitter to praise a handful of their first-team stars, and somewhat surprisingly, Cahill was among them.
Every #CFC has slagged Bakayoko and Cahill rotten including myself, but you have to give them both huge credit today…they were immense.
