Chelsea fans hopeful to see Hudson-Odoi and Ampadu in action after manager’s comments

Chelsea fans are feeling they might finally get to see Callum Hudson-Odoi and Ethan Ampadu play for Chelsea this season after manager Maurizio Sarri confirmed on Wednesday that he will definitely make some changes for Thursday’s Europa League match with Hungarian side MOL Vidi.

The Blues travel to the city of Szekesfehervar on the back of two difficult matches against Liverpool last week, and the Chelsea boss emphasised the encounters took their toll on some of the players, both mentally and physically.

The opportunity could present itself to the likes of Hudson-Odoi and Ampadu to get an appearance, although Sarri hasn’t given much game-time to younger players so far this season. The duo travelled to PAOK in Chelsea’s opening round fixture in the Europa League last month, but weren’t even named on the bench.

This time around their chances might be better with England international Ruben Loftus-Cheek also fit for the clash after being on the sidelines for three weeks due to injury.
