It was the big talking point at Stamford Bridge earlier this year. Will he stay or will he go? But the debate wasn't surrounding Eden Hazard, it was about 18-year-old Callum Hudson-Odoi.

The England international was being heavily linked with a move to Bayern Munich in the January transfer window after failing to get regular football at Stamford Bridge under Maurizio Sarri.

But following Hazard's departure to Real Madrid, and with Sarri's own future up in the air, The Sun claim Hudson-Odoi is now prepared to put pen to paper and sign a new deal to keep him in west London.

However, the report suggests the teenager is playing "hardball" in negotiations over ensuring his game-time for next season is significantly increased.

The demands were met with shock and disdain by Chelsea fans on Twitter, who felt Hudson-Odoi hadn't done enough in his short career to warrant assurances over first-team football.

Many seemed to think the winger was showing signs of arrogance, and also pointed to his regular run in the team towards the closing stages of the season as evidence that he'll be getting the opportunities he needs.

Having suffered an ACL injury towards the closing stages of the season, Hudson-Odoi is unlikely to play any part in the opening months of the next campaign for Chelsea and it still remains unclear whether he will be at the club for the foreseeable future.
