It may be early in Frank Lampard's Chelsea tenure but their display against Manchester United was rather alarming.

The Blues started brightly, hitting the post through Tammy Abraham, but defensively they were all over the place.

The tone for a difficult afternoon was set by Kurt Zouma after his clumsy tackle saw him gave away a penalty which was then dispatched by Marcus Rashford.

Zouma was particularly poor and as a result, he came under fire from Chelsea fans on Twitter. His display was labelled terrible and woeful whilst one individual said he wasn't good enough for the Blues.

A further supporter said that the 24-year-old would be the weakest link in Lampard's team this term.

The Frenchman had a day to forget as Chelsea shipped four goals in their opening match of the campaign in an afternoon that the London outfit will want to write off quickly.

Zouma spent last season on loan at Everton but upon returning to the Chelsea side looked incredibly out of his depth. Not only did he give away a penalty but he also picked up a yellow card.

Here's some of the reaction.
