It has been another difficult international break for Frank Lampard.

Whilst representing their respective countries, Reece James, Andreas Christensen and N'Golo Kante all picked up injuries and, as such, none of them will be available to play against Newcastle United on Saturday as the Premier League resumes.

The latter's issue will be felt the hardest. The 28-year-old is one of the best players in the world in his position, and nobody can really replace his hard work and stamina.

The midfielder already had some issues before the break at Chelsea, yet he was selected for the France squad all the same. As such, Lampard has been critical of the way Les Bleus and Didier Deschamps handled his condition.

He said: "After the first game when he pulled out, he then had a fitness test the day before the second game; it was clear that he couldn’t play. He then sat on the bench on the evening of the game, so that’s not communication. It’s not such a laughing matter, I suppose.

"Our doctors were speaking and there were some times when things weren’t coming back to us when I would expect them to come back – that’s what I mean about communication."

Clearly, he has not taken Kante's injury too well at all, and neither have the Blues fans. They have backed their manager's quotes, and they have taken to Twitter to do so. You can see some of the best comments from the social media platform below.
