It has been another difficult international break for Frank Lampard.
Whilst representing their respective countries, Reece James, Andreas Christensen and N’Golo Kante all picked up injuries and, as such, none of them will be available to play against Newcastle United on Saturday as the Premier League resumes.

The latter’s issue will be felt the hardest. The 28-year-old is one of the best players in the world in his position, and nobody can really replace his hard work and stamina.
The midfielder already had some issues before the break at Chelsea, yet he was selected for the France squad all the same. As such, Lampard has been critical of the way Les Bleus and Didier Deschamps handled his condition.
He said: “After the first game when he pulled out, he then had a fitness test the day before the second game; it was clear that he couldn’t play. He then sat on the bench on the evening of the game, so that’s not communication. It’s not such a laughing matter, I suppose.
“Our doctors were speaking and there were some times when things weren’t coming back to us when I would expect them to come back – that’s what I mean about communication.”
Clearly, he has not taken Kante’s injury too well at all, and neither have the Blues fans. They have backed their manager’s quotes, and they have taken to Twitter to do so. You can see some of the best comments from the social media platform below.
Lamps right. An injured player should be sent back

Yup, Kante should be sent back to London…no point Kante being a benchwarmer. Deschamps took advantage of Kante good behavior. https://t.co/V9R0CRi5Wi

Shocking treatment of N’Golo Kante tbh. Why was he on the bench for France when injured! Could have returned to Cobham!

Lampard sounds right hope this will make everyone learn how to treat players

Lampard has every right to be angry at Deschamps. He knew Kante was carrying an injury but still decides to put him on the bench for France. It’s just delaying him from fully recovering and getting back into our team. I hope this doesn’t last all season

Credits to Lampard for slamming Deschamp over the Kantè matter. Absolutely unprofessional from Deschamp and Lampard has every right to be mad. Kante is the dime of the French midfielder, but France have got midfielders to cover up for themselves and if possible all Europe..
