Lots of Chelsea fans were left impressed by Reece James' performance against Manchester United in the Carabao Cup, despite the Blues falling to a 2-1 defeat.

James is enjoying his breakthrough campaign at Stamford Bridge working under Frank Lampard, having earned his senior debut in the Third Round win over Grimsby Town.

The 19-year-old right-back has now amassed six first-team appearances with the Blues, including two in the Champions League, after starting in the 2-1 win over LOSC Lille.

He was unable to maintain his unbeaten record with the West London outfit on Wednesday night, but many Blues supporters have lauded the youngster as being 'the only positive' from their side's defeat to Manchester United.

James was not able to present the same attacking threat against the Red Devils as he was against Grimsby, when he scored, yet combined well with Callum Hudson-Odoi down the right channel and delivered some teasing crosses.

In total, the England youth international attempted and completed two dribbles during the midweek clash, and made 30 of his 95 passes in the final third, per WhoScored data.

From those, he delivered seven crosses - only Hudson-Odoi made more - as well as penning 109 touches, two blocks, two tackles and taking one shot.
