Chelsea are through to the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup after a dramatic win over Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night.
The home side looked like they were heading comfortably into the next round thanks to an early Willian strike but Dan Gosling popped up in the 90th minute to make it 1-1, with the match destined for extra-time.
Substitute Alvaro Morata did what he is paid to do though and scored a vital winner in injury time, saving Antonio Conte’s side from a gruelling battle beyond 90 minutes.
Supporters were pleased with the win and although their side didn’t massively impress with their performance, they did have high praise for one player in particular, Welsh youngster Ethan Ampadu.
The 17-year-old was starting just his second game of the season and looked rock solid at the back for the Blues showing composure and defensive ability beyond his years, especially considering he had to play 88 minutes of the match on a yellow card.
Fans believe he could be the future of the Chelsea defence and took to Twitter to share their thoughts on his performance…

Love the fact that Ampadu was comfortably our best player tonight. In all four appearances he's displayed great self-belief, and he's adapted to the team effortlessly. #CFC
