Chelsea fans loving Barkley’s improvements following another goalscoring display

Ross Barkley had a major task on his hands to secure a place in Chelsea’s team following his switch from Everton in January.

The midfielder arrived at Stamford Bridge with a hamstring injury and only made a handful of appearances under then-manager Antonio Conte.

The England international’s biggest objective this summer was to impress new boss Maurizio Sarri, and it seems that he has done so.

Barkley has featured in the Blues’ last three Premier League matches and he has scored in all of them.

At the weekend, not only did the 24-year-old find the back of the net, he created two assist in the 4-0 rout over Burnley.

Squawka posted a tweet detailing Barkley’s match statistics, and it is impressive reading.

Plenty of Chelsea fans have given their thoughts on the midfielder’s performance via Reddit.

Some have compared Barkley’s rise to that of Victor Moses, who revived his career as a wing-back under former boss Conte.

Others believe that the England ace, who is valued at £22.5m by Transfermarkt, will be a key player under Sarri.
