Alvaro Morata appeared for Chelsea in the Premier League for the first time since January 13 when he came off the bench against West Bromwich Albion on Monday night.

A back problem and indeed a suspension have made it a frustrating few weeks for the Spain international, but he replaced Olivier Giroud just past the hour as the Blues recorded a 2-0 win over the Baggies at Stamford Bridge.

Morata was bright in the final 30 minutes of the match, and finished the night with an assist having set up Eden Hazard for Chelsea's third in the 71st minute.

The 25-year-old has scored 12 times for Chelsea this season, but there is no question that it has been a campaign of inconsistency for the former Real Madrid forward.

Morata is now back in the fold, however, and will be looking to cause Barcelona some problems in their upcoming Champions League tie.

One thing is for sure, Chelsea fans are delighted that Morata has returned.
